BUFFALO, N.Y.
It wasn't readily apparent from the front, but from any other angle it was pretty clear that this 1967 Pontiac Firebird, which made a mid-model year debut about a half-year after Chevrolet's Camaro, was indeed heavily (very heavily) based on Chevy's new pony car entry. This convertible body style was continued through the end of the first-generation Firebirds, which ended with the introduction of what was basically the 1970-1/2 models.
We saw this one on Buffalo's West Side earlier this year.
